Virginia's local elections are meant to be non-partisan, but in Fredericksburg, candidates often receive backing from major political parties. Many voters choose based on party, not policy. I care about policy and aim to represent all voices in Fredericksburg. I am not backed by any political party

Today's politics prioritize party victory over public service, creating a divisive "us versus them" mentality. This mindset affects all government levels, hindering progress due to party loyalty and media spin.

Why the Party System Is Problematic:  Partisan politics makes officials prioritize party interests over constituents, leading to:

• Gridlock: Legislation stalls as parties avoid collaboration

• Corruption: Politicians cater to special interests over voters.

• Division: Polarization splits families and communities.

The Value of Independent Voices:

Independent candidates should not be tied to party lines. They need to bring fresh ideas and focus on practical solutions, answering only to the people rather than party bosses or wealthy lobbyists.

The two-party system fails to deliver change. It's time to support independents, despite challenges like limited debates and media coverage. Change is possible if we demand better and vote differently

I want to be the voice of Fredericksburg. My only aspiration is to make our City and it’s residents the best it can be. Vote David Cropper.
